Hawaiian Koa Wood Hand-Turned Bowl

This is a Hawaiian Koa wood hand-turned bowl, large-sized, and numbered #731. This piece stands at 3 3/4" high and 9 1/4" wide. It has a soft sloping foot. This deep blonde and golden-brown Koa bowl reflects the unique and rich heritage of the Koa tree's characteristics. The most attractive quality of the bowl are its highly figured wood grains, exposed bark, and Koa wood stitch detail. This wood was sourced from the crotch of the tree.

Harvested on the slopes of Mauna Kea and once reserved for only monarchs, this handcrafted Koa wood bowl will grace your home with the warmth Hawaiian wood art brings to any environment. This handmade heirloom is unique, branded, and numbered.

Dimensions: 9 1/4" Wide X 3 3/4" Height, 5/16" Approx. Wall Thickness

This Hawaiian Koa wood bowl was hand turned by KoaWood Ranch founder Craig Villarrubia. He was part of the entire process, from painstaking cutting the tree to preparing the branch and blank, before placing it on the lathe for shaping. The piece is finished with Danish oil and wax. Craig's work reflects a contemporary take on the Hawaiian Koa bowl.
