The Classic Pareau pattern, also known as the Pua Lani Pareau, was inspired by a trip to Tahiti in the early-1950s. Alfred Shaheen meticulously adapted traditional Tahitian floral motifs to textiles, resulting in the iconic and timeless Classic Pareau design that embodies the essence of Hawaiian culture.
