Hawaiian Koa Wood Turned Bowl

This is a Hawaiian Koa wood hand-turned bowl, medium-sized, and numbered #723. This piece stands at 3 1/4" high and 7 3/4" wide. This deep blonde and reddish brown-grained Koa bowl has a unique grain pattern. The natural termite holes have been left intact. Harvested on the slopes of Mauna Kea and once reserved for only monarchs, this handcrafted Koa wood bowl will grace your home with the warmth Hawaiian wood art brings to any environment. This handmade heirloom is unique, branded, and numbered.

Dimensions: 7 3/4" Wide X 3 1/4" Height, 1/4" Approx. Wall Thickness

This Hawaiian Koa wood bowl was hand turned by KoaWood Ranch founder Craig Villarrubia. He was part of the entire process, from painstaking cutting the tree to preparing the branch and blank, before placing it on the lathe for shaping. The piece is finished with Danish oil and wax. Craig's work reflects a contemporary take on the traditional Hawaiian Koa calabash bowls.
