Side slash front pockets open wide for access and zip shut so there's no drag when swimming or surfing. Mesh pocket bags let water and sand drain through so you're not carrying half the beach with you at the end of your bodysurf sesh! The back cargo pocket is darted in the corners so it lays flat when empty and opens up when you need to carry some loot. All of this and OLEU's Durable Water Repellant (DWR) finished boardshort fabric repels liquid, dries fast, and yes, even protects from the sun with UPF50+.
