Hawaiian Koa Wood Turned Calabash
This is a traditional Hawaiian Koa wood calabash bowl #725. This gorgeous piece stands 3" high and approximately 7 1/2" wide. It has a traditional non-footed shape. This deep blonde, reddish, and golden brown Koa bowl reflects the unique and rich characteristics of Koa wood. It has desirably figured and curly grains. The Koa wood was harvested on the slopes of Mauna Kea, at KoaWood Ranch. This handcrafted Koa bowl will grace any home with the warmth that Hawaiian art and tropic decor brings to any environment. This handmade heirloom is unique and branded.

Using Koa wood from the forestry conservation, Craig painstakingly turned this wood bowl into the traditional Hawaiian calabash shape. The piece is finished with Danish oil and beeswax.
