I had it in my mind that I really wanted a sterling bracelet as a keepsake of my recent trip to Hawaii. I looked in several stores and was willing to pay up to about $400, but couldn't find exactly the right thing. They either didn't fit properly, or the ones that did fit had designs I didn't care for. It was the last day of the trip and I'd pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't going to find anything, when I happened upon this store in the International Marketplace. The cuff bracelets, inlaid with abalone and koa wood, were gorgeous! The design is simple, understated, and elegant. It allows for the inlay work to really steal the show. I became a bit concerned when the associate pulled a new bracelet out from beneath the counter, instead of ringing me up for the one I tried on. I asked to see it first because no two pieces of wood or abalone are exactly alike, and I wanted to make sure it was as attractive as the one I'd looked at. It was even more beautiful! The bracelet is crafted out of stainless steel rather than sterling, but I'm fine with that as it meant the price was outstanding. I was happy flying home the next day, having secured a lovely memento of my trip.
