With regards to your question cleaning it, the wood is finished with a poly coating so you only need to wipe with a light damp cloth. That said, being an organic material, wood can be scratched and over time (few years) the finish can begin to wear down. At that point, best to use bees wax to bring back the shine. Iʻve had mine for two years and still going strong. Mahalo!
