Hawaiian Koa Wood-Turned Bowl
This is hand-turned Hawaiian Koa wood bowl #795. This gorgeous piece stands at approximately 2" low and almost 7" wide. It takes on a traditional bowl shape. This deep blonde, reddish, and golden brown Koa bowl reflects the unique and rich characteristics of Koa wood. The Koa wood was harvested on the slopes of Mauna Kea, at KoaWood Ranch. This handcrafted Koa bowl will grace any home with the warmth that Hawaiian art and tropic decor brings to any environment. This handmade heirloom is unique and branded.
Dimensions: 7" Wide X 2" Height, 5/16" Approx. Wall Thickness
Using Koa wood from the KoaWood Ranch forestry conservation, local artist Erick Loos painstakingly turned this wood bowl into a small traditional Hawaiian calabash shape. The piece is finished with Danish oil and beeswax.
