Hawaiian Koa Wood Natural Edge Bowl Hand-Turned
This is a Hawaiian Koa Wood live edge bowl #717. With soft curves and no foot, this deep golden-brown Koa bowl captures the spirit of the Koa tree. The beauty of its natural edge wonderfully frames the character of the wood grain. Because of the scarcity and added difficulty in creating natural edge pieces, these handcrafted bowls are both rare and hard to come by. This Koa wood heirloom is unique, branded, and numbered.
Dimensions: 6 3/4" Wide X 6 3/4" Deep X 4" Height, 3/8" Approx. Wall Thickness
This Hawaiian Koa wood live edge bowl was hand turned by KoaWood Ranch founder Craig Villarrubia. He was part of the entire process, from painstaking cutting the Koa tree down to preparing the branch and blank, before placing it on the lathe for shaping. The piece was finished with Danish oil and wax. Craig's work reflects a contemporary take on the traditional Hawaiian Koa calabash bowl.
